Purpose

Customers are noticing behavior after REL12 upgrade where they get mass email notifications for pending approvals older than 180 days.

Change introduced in Release 12 for SOA pending transactions:
In Release 12, there is feature introduced to auto-withdraw open approval tasks older than 180 days. This feature was delivered through bug: 23500606. When auto-withdraw happens, user receives either the notification about withdraw or an error notification if there was any issue during withdraw processing. System does not differentiate between auto-withdraw vs. manual withdraw action. This is as per the design to clean up older notifications from the system. This cleanup happens after upgrade to Release 12 and also every 3 days thereafter.

The purpose of this document is to address question from Talent Management customers receiving withdrawal or error notifications and how this can be prevented or minimized.
