Approving Deal Reg Doesn't Create Opportunity When Primary Contact Is Entered As Text Only

PRM: Approving Deal Reg doesn't create Opportunity when Primary Contact is entered as text only
We've noticed a couple of instances where approved Deal Reg does not create an Opportunity - troubleshooting this has found that this is due to the Contact only being entered as text in the Primary Contact field. If the Partner chooses a Contact record, or creates a new one properly, the Deal approval and subsequent creation of Opportunity works as expected.
Deal Registration should not be created if the Contact info is not valid
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Deal Reg as Partner
2. Enter free text into OOTB Contact field
3. Tab-out of the Contact field and entry is saved
4. Submit for approval
5. CAM then approves. Status is approved
6. No Opportunity is created
Repeat as above, but replace the Contact Text with a real Contact and everything works fine.
