During R12 upgrade synchronization was suspended between iLink to the Sales Cloud

During the R12 upgrade synchronization was suspended between between iLink to the Sales Cloud. It seems that in the process of the upgrade Oracle have failed to apply a setting that allows iLink to update the response code of an appointment in Sales Cloud.
During the upgrade a permission has been taken away from the role that our Sales Cloud user (email@example.com) requires to manage appointment response status. As a result -> when a user changes their response status in Google Calendar it is not synchronized to Sales Cloud.
For example: if user A marks their response status as "Declined" in Google Sales Cloud will not be aware of this.
This happened when the R11 was released. The fix back then was:
iLink can synchronize the Response Status of guests from Google Events to the corresponding Sales Cloud Appointment.
To do this - the iLink Proxy user must be granted access to the ZMM_MANAGE_ACTIVITY_ALL_ADMIN_PRIV functional Privilege.
This privilege is not assigned to Job Roles Out-of-the-Box and must be added to a Job Role that the iLink Proxy User is assigned to.
