Custom Summary Box is pulling the wrong data from the report (Doc ID 2307001.1)

Below is happening for both Account and Contact objects.

Customer has a custom object named 'Customer Transaction Details' created under Common application. In Account and Contact objects, customer has created a Summary Box named 'Transaction Details';

Here is the description of it:

Name: Transaction Details
Type: Aggregate;
Target Object: Customer Transaction Details
Use Relationship: PersonToCustomerTransactionDetailsforContact (/Account)
Function: Sum;
Apply To: Investment Value

Add Filters:

Target Field: Latest;
Operator: Equals;
Value Type: Object field;
Value: Day (Day_c)

Day_c is a number formula with the following code:

return day(today())-1

Customer also added a custom sub-tab to both Account and Contact SUI Details layouts, which is bringing a BI-report with the same;

Customer's issue is the following: in the summary box, a value is displayed but it is incorrect, because the value seen in the custom sub-tab is different (as per their feedback, that is the correct one).

The summary box should display the sum of values for InvestmentValue (custom Number field on Customer Transaction Details) for the last day (e.g. today is September 25th and it should display the sum for September 24th alone).
