Issue Related to Importing of Numberic Decimal Fields

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customer is importing numeric data with decimals, but somehow after the import was completed the data are imported without decimals in the object and for this reason there are inconsistent data in their reports.
For example, the data in the CSV file is 123.45, but in the report it appears with 12345.
How can this be solved?
