Proxy Logout in Salesforce Retains the Session of the Previous User (Doc ID 2310041.1)

Last updated on MAY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 2017 R1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a user utilizes the proxy logout functionality within Salesforce and then they proxy log into another user the session of the previous user is retained.

For Example:

  1. Proxy Login as User A and create a CPQ quote within Salesforce
  2. Note that the quote indicates that it was created by User A
  3. Proxy Logout as User A within Salesforce and Proxy Login to User B
  4. Create another quote and note that the new quote is still created by User A
This session persistence issue occurs even if users are completely logging out (not proxy) of Salesforce entirely and logging in as a new user. The session for the first user still persists in Oracle CPQ Cloud.
