ListProducts Endpoint Filtering And Sorting Issues with Q Filter Specified

Symptoms

Two issues have been observed with the behavior of the listProducts endpoint:

Q filter issue

In 17.2, the listProducts endpoint with the q filter and category ID parameter included in the URL will return results that are not filtered, and the count of query results is incorrect. For instance, with q=status='A' (as used in the following URL) will return items whose status value is not equal to 'A':

Sorting issue

The listProducts endpoint with q filter applied returns results that are not sorted in the order specified by users of the Admin user interface.
