Purpose

This document explains the various ways in which such R packages can be installed for use with R and together with Oracle R Enterprise. In the following, the same instructions apply when using either open source R or Oracle R Distribution.

The installation and use of open source R packages for use within Oracle R Enterprise is supported by Oracle. Troubleshooting or guidance for the package code itself is not supported by Oracle, but is often provided by the package author and/or maintainer. This contact information is listed on the package's CRAN site.
