MFT Purge scripts failing

Connected to MFT managed server on WLST and tried to run purge scripts but failed with Error

purgeInstanceData(testMode='TRUE', runInSync='TRUE', runPayloadPurge='TRUE')
Exception occurred while executing MFT Runtime Purge with batch-id: [272720]. Cause is:
JTA Transaction Error
