Goal

This article documents the recommended way of properly cloning an OCI-C Compute (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute Classic) Windows instance using an instance snapshot. It complements the documentation available on Cloning an Instance by Using Instance Snapshots.

Note that this applies to Windows instances booting from a non-persistent / ephemeral boot volume (Instance Snapshot functionality is only available for such instances).
