Authentication Is Not Working Correctly in OSC for Outlook Add-in

Symptoms

On : NA version, Microsoft Outlook

Authentication in Outlook is not working correctly when sync starts. User is presented the login window repeatedly to enter password and even if the password is correctly entered it is throwing authentication error.
The "Save Password" check box is also checked and it seems not to have effect.

Application experienced technical difficulties. Please check your user info and try again.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Start synchronization (either local or all changes)
2. Login window pops up
3. Password is reentered and error is thrown.
4. After several attempts it works.
