File Import Stuck In Importing Records

On : 18.104.22.168.0 version, Activity Management
Customer tried a File Import this morning and after a few hours it was clear it was still showing as Active but stuck at 22/40 on the importing data step.
When checking in 'Sitemap -> Data Import' it shows that it has errored but this gives no indication as to why. customer has tried running it again with the exact same result and now we have multiple activities stuck.
Some important data loads is imported and they are currently unable to do them.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Sales Cloud
2. Navigate to File Import Activities.
3. Submit the import job
4. Job is ended in error.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot import accounts
