Symptoms

When attempting to import a P6 Web Services WSDL using SoapUI the following error occurs.

ERROR

Error loading [https://HOST:443/p6ws/services/SERVICENAME?xsd=1]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: error: Unexpected character encountered (lex state 12): 'c


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Start up SoapUI.
  2. Try to import WSDL.
  3. Observe the error.


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact: Due to this issue, users cannot import WSDL of project service.
