Cannot Change Sales Custom Object Icon

Error changing object icon  

Trying to change the object icon of Sales Custom Object results in an error

The object Object Icon cannot be updated because of an error. Your help desk was notified (ZCX-3075002)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to application Composer > Sales > Custom Object
2. Select the custom object to get to the overview page
3. select the link 'Change Icon'.

4. Select a new icon. Error appears

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot change the icon of the custom object
