What is the functionality of Legal Entities tab on the Benefit Program setup?

Information in this document applies to any platform.
A pension plan is defined for 3 of the 5 legal entities, so it should not be available for the 2 other companies.
However, When a person is hired into 1 of the non-eligible companies, the plan is still available to them for enrollment.
The Legal entities tab in the program setup has the 3 legal entities whereby the plan is available only for the employees in these 3 legal entities.
