Admin Endpoints Do Not Work When Application Key Authentication Is Used (Doc ID 2341054.1)

Symptoms

A number of Admin endpoints behave incorrectly (and return errors) when using application key authentication as described in

REST API docs > REST API authentication

but will display the expected and correct behavior when login credentials authentication is used instead.

The following issues have been reported thus far:

1. 'executeImport' Admin endpoint.
The endpoint call seems to complete successfully but when getImportProcess is called for the same import, an error with the following details is returned:
