Create Cost Accounting Error - "Unable to Locate A Match In The Mapping Set" (Doc ID 2343509.1)

Symptoms

Submitting Create Accounting processes for Cost Management sub-ledger application completes in Error with the following error message in the execution report.


ERROR
-----------------------
Subledger Accounting was unable to locate a match in the mapping set
XXXX for the input value.
Cause: The input source values do not match any output value defined in the
mapping set {MAPPING_SET}.
Action: You must define a default output for the mapping set {MAPPING_SET}
or specify mappings for all possible input values.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Costing > Cost Accounting
2. From regional section pick 'Create Accounting' with the following parameters.
Subledger Application: Cost Management
End Date: (Period End Date)
Accounting Mode: Final
Process Events: All
Post in General Ledger: No
Journal Batch: <Cost Accounting JE Batch>
Report Style: Summary
Include User Transaction Identifiers: No
