Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Projects which were once published then brought into Data Warehouse are not removed from Data Warehouse fact/dimension tables after converting a project to a baseline in P6.

Note:  When converting the project to a baseline, the data is removed from the P6 EPPM extended schema project view, but simply not registering a change to have the project removed from the Data Warehouse non-history fact/dimension tables. Also, this issue is specific to projects which were once published and brought into Data Warehouse subsequently converted to a baseline. This situation does not occur with deleted data from P6.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Data which was once published then brought into Data Warehouse should be removed from fact/dimension tables after being converted to a baseline when running the Scheduled ETL (DAILY_LOAD_PLAN).

STEPS
The following steps can be utilized to reproduce the issue (using a project converted to a baseline as example).

  1. Create a project in P6
  2. Add a single WBS to the project
  3. Add an activity to the WBS
  4. Schedule the project
  5. Publish the project
  6. Copy/Paste the project created above
  7. Publish the copied project
  8. Execute an ODI Scheduled ETL (LOAD_PLAN_DAILY)
  9. Execute a SQL statement and confirm the project was moved to W_PROJECT_D
  10. In P6, browse to the EPS page
  11. Close one of the two new projects
  12. Highlight the open project and select Action > Define Baselines
  13. Click the scroll wheel icon and select "convert existing project to baseline"
  14. Browse to the project created from step 6
  15. Execute a SQL statement and confirm the project is no longer recognized in the PX PROJECT view
  16. Execute an ODI Scheduled ETL (LOAD_PLAN_DAILY)
  17. Execute a SQL statement and confirm the project converted to a baseline is still present in W_PROJECT_D

Note, this situation is not limited to W_PROJECT_D.

BUSINESS IMPACT
This issue results in projects (which were published to Data Warehouse but since converted to Baselines) to display as Projects within Data Warehouse.
