In Core HR when a Line Manager or HR Specialist is processing a termination in the
system allows options of 'Immediate' and 'Deferred' to be selected. If
Immediate is selected the Termination Date is populated immediately and can see
that the transaction has been successful. If 'Deferred' is selected then the
Termination Date will only become visible when the actual Termination Date occurs. This
causes confusion for both HR and the Line Manager who may attempt to process
the record again resulting in an error message.
