Validation Rule: Translating the message from the Error box based on the language used to log in (Doc ID 2349208.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud Service - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Opportunity object customer has a validation rule that is not allowing users with specific roles to modify the owner. In the 'Error Message' field customer has written a sentence: e.g. "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua".

As customer is having offices in different countries, they would like the message to be translated depending the language used to log in. So if it is German, then message should be in German. As you cannot do this using UI settings, is there a way the script itself can be modified to achieve the same, by checking the language session of the logged in user?
