Symptoms

On : 11.12.1.0.0 version, Global Payroll

When attempting to run the QuickPay for one employee,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
An application error occurred. An assertion failure was detected at location pylogerr:1.
An external function call error occurred for formula ORA_ENTITLEMENT_CALCULATOR, line 227.
An error occurred during formula execution. (ORACLE_ERROR_TEXT=)
(FORMULA_ERROR_TEXT=An external function call error occurred for formula ORA_ENTITLEMENT_CALCULATOR, line 227.)
An error occurred when processing formula UNPAID LEAVE ENTITLEMENT RESULT.
An error occurred when processing element {ELEM_NAME. (ETNAME=Unpaid Leave Element Entitlement Result)

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------------
QuickPay should not get errored.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configure Absence integration with Payroll;
2. Run QuickPay ;
3. Receive error.

Observation:
We have configured our Absence requirements and integrated the same with Payroll.
When an employee is taking an unpaid leave and after that when we run the QuickPay for that employee we are receiving this particular error.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, QuickPay/ Payroll calculation cannot be completed when absence elements are present.
