Line Managers will run a custom report for all their direct reports on one particular date. Some Line Managers have up to 50 direct reports. One run of the report finished in approx 40 minutes.  Line Managers  have been instructed to schedule this report instead of running it Adhoc from Reports and Analytics (BI).  The value configured for BIP JMS Processors checked in BI Publisher Administration -> Scheduler Configuration page is 20.

Can any settings can be changed so that the BI scheduler can reduce queuing time and process more reports in parallel? What is the max number of physical users that can schedule this report ? How many sessions can BI handle concurrently for this environment ?

For example, users will have 20 reports running concurrently and 180 queued. What is the maximum this number of queued reports? What if there were 500 users scheduling the report via BI scheduler at the same time. Would only 20 still be processing and remaining 480 queued? Is there an upper limit where the system prompts a message saying something like "max number of sessions for this report scheduling have been reached".?
