Purpose

Provide customers who are running OL6/7 UEK4 instances direction to uptake new UEK4 Kernel

Scope

All Compute Cloud customers running UEK4 environments, excluding Oracle Data Integration Platform Cloud Service (DICS) and Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service (GGCS).

This procedure can be executed on VMs running the following PaaS services:

 Oracle Analytics Cloud
 Oracle API Platform Cloud Service
 Oracle Big Data Cloud
 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Compute Classic
 Oracle Database Cloud Service
 Oracle Data Hub Cloud Service
 Oracle Integration Cloud
 Oracle Java Cloud Service
 Oracle MySQL Cloud Service
 Oracle Event Hub Cloud Service - Dedicated
 Oracle Mobile Cloud - Enterprise
 Oracle SOA Cloud Service
 Visual Builder

If you are using Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service (GGCS) and Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) that are dependent on a UEK3 patch, this patch will be coming soon.
