Cannot Edit Line Items in a Cost Type BP With Sub-Type "Line Items with both WBS and Fund Codes" (Doc ID 2352242.1)

Last updated on MAY 09, 2018

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Primavera Unifier - Version 9.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cost Type Business Processes (BP's) that are created and configured as Sub Type: "Line Items with both WBS and Fund Codes", do not currently have the Option available to: "Allow Modification of Line item".
Therefore, a user cannot edit the line item in any step of the workflow once it has been created. A user could be allowed to add and delete line items, but to edit a line item, the user would need to add a new line item with correct information and then delete the original one. This is very inefficient process that could be improved if this Sub Type could be modified.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Unifier Environment as a user with the proper permissions.
  2. Navigate to Company Workspace > Admin Mode > Business Processes > Choose the specific Business Process (BP) (notice the BP Type: Cost, Sub-Type: Line Items with WBS code, Classification: Generic, Level: Project/Shell, Behavior: Workflow, Instances: Multiple)
  3. Go to Upper Forms > Select top Upper form > Options tab, you can check "Allow Modification of Line Item".
  4. Then Navigate to Company Workspace > Admin Mode > Business Processes > Choose the specific Business Process (BP) (notice the BP Type: Cost, Sub-Type: Line Items with both WBS and Fund Codes, Classification: Generic, Level: Project/Shell, Behavior: Workflow, Instances: Multiple.)
  5. Navigate to Upper Forms > Choose the Upper Form to be modified > Options tab > You cannot check "Allow Modification of Line item".
  6. This behavior seems to be due solely to the difference in the Sub-Type setting.
