UK legislation -Employee Opts-out Of Pension Scheme - PAE Reflects As Opt-in

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Employee opts-out of QPS - PAE reflects as Opt-in

Post updating the card when we run the PAE process, we expected that the process end dates the employee’s Benefits and Pensions card and removes the qualifying scheme details from the Pensions Automatic Enrolment card.
But this is not happening. the benefits card is not end dated and the qualifying scheme details are not removed from the pension automatic enrolment card.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The PAE process should end date the employee’s Benefits and Pensions card and remove the qualifying scheme details from the Pensions Automatic Enrolment card.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Create Benefits and Pension Card as on 30-7-2017
2.Update PAE as on 30-7-2017
3Qualifying Scheme Joining Method: Opt in
Qualifying Scheme Joining Date: 30-07-2017
Active Qualifying Scheme Name: ‘Pension Regular’
Qualifying Scheme Component : ‘Pension Regular’
Overriding Eligible Jobholder Postponement Rule: ‘None’
Overriding Worker Postponement Rule: ‘None’

4.Run the Pensions Automatic Enrolment Assessment process for this emp. (for the period 24 2017 Lunar month- '30July to 26Aug 2017): Process ran successfully and the employee was picked up under the section ‘Opt in’. Reviewed the pension card. The ‘Opt out period end date’ , ‘Last Assessment date’ and ‘Last Assessment Period’ were populated.

5.Run payroll for period 24 2017 Lunar Month – Quick pay processed successfully. Pension processed in quick pay

6.Update the PAE card as on 27-Aug-2017 as below:
  Qualifying scheme leaving date: 26-Aug-2017
  Reason for leaving : Opt out
The PAE card got updated successfully

7. Run the PAE process for this emp. (for the period 28 2017 Lunar month- '27 Aug to 23 Sep 2017):
Expected Result: The PAE process should end date the employee’s Benefits and Pensions card and remove the qualifying scheme details from the Pensions Automatic Enrolment card.

Actual Result:
Employee was picked up in the Enrolment report under the section 'Opt-in'. Attached is the Pension Automatic Enrolment report and the log file
We see an error for the employee in the Errors and Warnings Report.
