Symptoms

When attempting to run payroll, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------

an application error occurred. An assertion failure was detected at location pyibswc:1
an external function call error occurred for formula HRX_US_INVOL_DED_DI_CALCULATION LINE 134.
an error occurred during formula execution. (ORACLE_ERROR_TEXT=) (FORMULA_ERROR_TEXT = An external function call error occurred for formula HRX_US_INVOL_DED_DI_CALCULATION LINE 134.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Run Payroll or Quickpay.
2. Get the erros listed above.
