Error: "Unable to Communicate With the Server. Application Will Terminate Now. Please Check Network Connectivity and Then Login Again" and "Remote Server Returned an Error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required" Using Cloud Connect With Client Side Cache

When using P6 Professional via Cloud Connect, with client side cache enabled, the connection to the Cloud Connect URL through a web proxy that requires authentication can result in the following issue to occur after a period of usage:

"Unable to communicate with cloud server, Retrying #1 of 12 retries". After 12 retries we get the message "Unable to communicate with the server. Application will terminate now. Please check network connectivity and then login again".

The associated message which is written to the client side cache log (%TEMP%\Mimosa.log) is:

TIMESTAMP Information Exception Error sending request to CloudConnect
Exception: An error occurred while sending the request.
Inner Exception: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required.
RequestURI: https://$hostname:port/p6procloudconnect/services/p6client


  1. Launch P6 Professional
  2. Login using a Cloud Connect URL that authenticates through a proxy (requiring authentication).
  3. Note the error which can occur after a period of usage.
