TCC: Does TCC Support TLS Over SMTP?

Goal
The TCC client can be configured to send alerts or results via the SMTP protocol. For example:
- Sample - Sending the Result File by Email (Doc ID 1045398.1)
- Sample - Sending Email Alerts (Doc ID 1045396.1)
Since SMTP by itself is not encrypted, does the SMTP support in TCC include TLS over SMTP?
