On : version, Accounts, Contacts, Households

When attempting to create a new Custom Object,
the following error occurs.

 An object named xxxxxx already exists

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Application Composer
2. Expand Custom objects
3. Create new object
4. Give the object the name of "xxxxxx"
5. Save
6. Get error

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot create a new custom object with a specific name.
