Symptoms

NOTE: The Data Element referenced in this Knowledge Article is specific to the BP design but any Data Element can be used for this purpose.

 ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
----------------------
A Business Process has a Data Element called 'Planning Item' on it's Upper Form. When Records from this Business Process are auto-created, the Data Element 'Planning Item' is available to be populated by users.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The Data Element "Planning Item" in the auto-created record should be exclusive and unique. However, users are able to enter repeated/duplicate values.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
----------------------
1. After the auto-created record is created, open the record.
2. Observe that "Planning Item" cannot be used as an identifier since there are duplicate values for "Planning Item".
3. However, if users manually create the record instead of auto-created, users are unable to populate duplicate values in the "Planning Item" field.
