Cloud Storage hangs Showing " Fetching Data.." (Doc ID 2360994.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Storage Cloud Service - Version N/A to N/A
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When the Storage console is accessed, it shows the message "Fetching Data..." and just hangs.
When an attempt is made to create a new container, it shows the popup and accepts a name ("TestContainer"), but it then hangs and fails to create the container.

When an attempt is made to create container with cURL command, it fails with the below error:

<span class="sBugInternalContent"> * Could not resolve host:; Name or service </span><span class="sBugInternalContent">not known</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> * Closing connection 0</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> curl: (6) Could not resolve host:; Name or </span><span class="sBugInternalContent">service not known</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> [user1@host1 ~]$ nslookup</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> Server:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; xx.xx.xx.xx</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> Address:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; xx.xx.xx.xx</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> .</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> ** server can't find DOMAIN</span>
<span class="sBugInternalContent"> .

Note: It is possible to open the storage console from browser but not possible to create
any containers. It doesn't give any error when an attempt is made to create it.
