Using Basic Form Features in a Web Form
(Doc ID 2367570.1)

Content and Experience Cloud Service - Version N/A and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The user in this case is seeking to use some of the features in a basic form in a web form. For example:
In a basic form, users can have a field which populates a "User Name" dependent on whether a user is logged in. If logged in, users can get this field to populate automatically using a Basic Form. The same is not true for a Web Form. However, users can't embed a Basic Form into a CEC site and it looks like users cannot achieve the same feature using a Web Form.
Currently, there is no data storage mechanism in CEC that can be used for saving form data.
