The LOAD_PLAN_REALTIME_GLOBAL process continually moves into an "error" status, requiring a manual restart of the load plan. However each subsequent execution of the load plan continues to error out, and with each failure the following error is generated in the ODI studio for the failing load plan:

ODI-1519: Serial step "Real time loop for global tables (InternalID:####)" failed because child step "Case Data Source Type (InternalID:####)" is in error.
ODI-1521: Case step "Case Data Source Type (InternalID:####)" failed; the selected child "When P6 (InternalID:####)" is in error.
ODI-1520: Case-When/Else step "When P6 (InternalID:####)" failed because child step "rootStep_caseWhen (InternalID:####)" is in error.
ODI-1519: Serial step "rootStep_caseWhen (InternalID:####)" failed because child step "10) LOOP_REALTIME_P6_GLOBAL (InternalID:####)" is in error.
ODI-1217: Session LOOP_REALTIME_P6_GLOBAL (####) fails with return code 1422.
ODI-1226: Step Load EPS Resource Role Hierarchies fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1232: Procedure Load EPS Resource Role Hierarchies execution fails.
ODI-1228: Task Procedure-Load EPS Resource Role Hierarchies-LoadEpsResRoleHierarchies fails on the target connection PRIMAVERA_ANALYTICS_TGT_DS.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows
ORA-06512: at "STARUSER.HIER_PKG", line 202
ORA-06512: at line 2

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Allow the LOAD_PLAN_REALTIME_GLOBAL process to execute (no manual steps required, other than having P6 EPPM global data published to extended schema).
  2. When the failure occurs (found from the Analytics Administration application):
    1. Connect to the ODI studio.
    2. Select the Operator tab.
    3. Expand: Load Plan Executions > Status > Error.
    4. Double-click the failing LOAD_PLAN_REALTIME_GLOBAL load plan.
    5. Note the error in the Details pane of the load plan.
