Attachments Are Not Accounted For In Import Feature But Show In Adding A Line Item

On Unifier : Version 18.1 version

When attachments are imported into a Business Process (BP), they do not show in the attachment index, item(s) or the log/table.
However, when attachments are added using the "Add" button under Line Items, all of them show including the previously imported ones.

The attachment should show/register when the import function is used.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to Unifier and navigate to the applicable workspace
  2. Create a new record
  3. Click Import > Import Attachments
  4. Drag and Drop a file into the designated area
  5. Upload
  6. Notice the results below
    • - Attachment Index = 0
    • - Item(s) = 0
    • Note that there are no attachments displayed in the table
  7. Import > Import Attachments > Browse
  8. Select and double click a file > Upload
  9. Notice the same results listed in Step 6 (at this points 2 attachments have been uploaded)

Now try the steps below and observe the difference

  1. Click the Add button > Attachment > Add Attachment > My Computer
  2. Select and double click a file > Save & Close
  3. Notice that the file is accounted for in all variables listed in Step 6, along with the other uploaded attachments.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot account for attachments when the import function is used.
