Global Search Option To Be Enabled For A Custom Field (Doc ID 2376178.1)

Symptoms

When customer is using Global Search and is searching using a custom field on Account value the search is not returning the results.
But the same custom field search is available in the Standard advance search on Account object.

Due to this issue customer is not able to reach the record using the Global Search
