Purpose
There is a documented procedure to increase the size of a storage volume (including root volume) for an IaaS instance. However, this functionality is not available for a JCS instance. This document outlines steps to increase the size of the root filesystem of a Java Cloud Service instance. This document assumes that the root filesystem is LVM based. If this is not the case, do not follow the instructions in this document and contact Oracle Support for assistance.
