Goal

In SOA Cloud Service (SOACS) it is a common requirement create a JDBC  connection  with on Premise database instance

Following blog "http://www.ateam-oracle.com/soa-cloud-service-quick-and-simple-setup-of-an-ssh-tunnel-for-on-premises-database-connectivity/"  written by A team in Jan , 2016 talks about creating a SSH tunnel to establish the connectivity between the single-node SOACS instance and the on-premise database server using an SSH tunnel.
