After Configuring Invoice Payment Gateway, Invoice Payment Option Does Not Appear On Storefront

Configured an Invoice Payment Gateway extension and enabled it via the Admin console. However, on the storefront the check box for Invoice Payments is not displayed. When using the browsers development tools noticed that isInvoicePaymentEnabled in the following call is returning FALSE.
Where the call to widget.order().paymentDetails().enabledTypes is only returning "paypalCheckout" and "cash" and Payment Options. This corresponds with the Invoice Payment Gateway in the Admin console which only shows a cash payment option for the Invoice Gateway.
