Client Drive Mappings Are Not Present Within P6 Professional (For Saving Files) While Connecting Through Primavera Virtual Desktop
Last updated on MAY 07, 2018
Applies to:Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Cloud Service - Version 188.8.131.52 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When connecting to P6 Professional through Secure Gobal Desktop (SGD) - branded as Primavera Virtual Desktop (PVD):
Client drives (both local and mapped) are not available within P6 Professional to export/import files or print to PDF. No drives are visible for selection under tcclient (when browsing to a location within P6 Professional through export/import windows or when printing to PDF).
When using PVD, client drives (both local and mapped) should be available to read/write from when using import/export or printing functionality. The client drives are intended to be displayed under a tcclient grouping when browsing to a location within P6 Professional through export/import windows or when printing to PDF)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
The following steps are utilized to reproduce the issue:
- Launch P6 Professional through Secure Global Desktop (by executing the Primavera Virtual Desktop link on your cloud landing page)
- Login to P6 Professional
- Select File > Import > XER
- When presented a window to browse to a file, attempt to load your local client drives under tcclient and note that no drives are displayed.
The situation can also occur when attempting to print from P6 Professional while connected through SGD.
