Obsolete RMAN Backups are not Getting Deleted from Oracle Cloud Storage (Doc ID 2386451.1)

Symptoms

1. RMAN command 'delete noprompt obsolete'  is deleting the obsolete backups records from the database controlfile but  the deleted obsolete backups files are not getting deleted from the Oracle Cloud Storage.

2 .Executing manual RMAN delete command to delete rman backups from the Oracle Cloud Storage,  deletes the backup records from the controlfile but  the backup files are not getting deleted from the Oracle Cloud Storage.

RMAN obsolete backups are not Getting Deleted from Oracle Cloud Storage when _OPC_DEFERRED_DELETE=TRUE parameter is set in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/opcSID.ora 'Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service Configuration File'.

Changes

 _OPC_DEFERRED_DELETE=TRUE parameter is set in the Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service Configuration File  $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/opcSID.ora file
