Error 'The system could not process your request' When Logging Into Unifier With Bidder Credentials and Attempting to Access the Bid Node (Doc ID 2390565.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When a Bidder/Vendor is invited to a Bid activity, they receive both the credentials email (when appropriate, i.e., the first time they have ever been invited to a bid) and the Bid Invitation email. However when logging into the Unifier environment with the bidder credentials and attempting to access the Bid Node, a Generic System Error is displayed.

Unifier Notification
The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Bidders should be able to login and see the Bid Invitations that they have been invited to for this Request For Bid (RFB) Business Process (BP).

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Receive Bid Invitation and Credentials emails.
  2. Access the URL in the Invitation and enter the Bidder Credentials.
  3. Log into the Unifier page.
  4. Click on the bidding node for the Business Process.
  5. The Generic System Error noted above is displayed.
