Last updated on APRIL 21, 2023

Applies to:

Data Integration Platform Cloud Classic - Version 17.3.5 and later
Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service - Version 17.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

When using Oracle Data Integration Platform Cloud Classic Service (DIPC Classic) pointing to the IPNetwork, a virtual load balancer (VLBR) with a public IP must exist.  This document provides information on how to set one up.

An IPNetwork setup, and a necessary DVLBR are required when there is a need to see on-premise databases from DIPC Classic as well as when connecting from on-premise (or on compute node) ODI Studio through VPN to DIPC Classic.

The creation of VLBR is now included in the LBaaS UI.

Scope

While the document focuses on the use case for DIPC Classic, it also applies to Oracle Data Integration Cloud Service (ODICS).

It provides a link to the load balancer documentation that contains the steps required to create VLBRS.  The steps are to be performed by administrators for any environment where IPNetwork is being used in conjunction with DIPC Classic.

VLBR is used to see on premise databases from DIPC-C.  An IP Network is required to proceed.
