Email Response Via Oracle Social Network Is Bouncing Back from Oracle Server with "Delivery has failed" (Doc ID 2396041.1)

Symptoms

When Oracle Social Network (OSN) sends an email, and a user responds by clicking a link within the email, the email bounces back with a message that the email address is not valid, error:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: <POD>.social.incoming@<HOST>.<DataCenter>.oraclecloud.com
A problem occurred during the delivery of this message to this e-mail address. Try sending this message again. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

To reproduce:

  1. Receive an email message from an OSN Conversation -- daily summary or flagged emails notification
  2. Review the conversation topic and select the link in the email to post new message to the conversation, or any of the other options that will send an email back to OSN.
    Following is the list of options available for a flag notification: "reply and clear flag • clear flag • like • add to favorites • reply • mark as read"
