Fusion Absence Management: FND Generic Message Error during Accrual Processing (Doc ID 2396230.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.13.17.11.0 version, Absence Processes

When attempting to run the accrual process, the following error occurs. We've run it with a max error of 400, but it stopped processing after 130 errors. Why is this happening?

ERROR

Job errored with message: oracle.apps.fnd.applcore.messages.ApplcoreException: JBO-FND:::FND_GENERIC_MESSAGE: The message is Error from Accrual absencesprocess:
java.lang.NullPointerException


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Absence Administration > Absence Processes > Schedule and Monitor Absence Processes > Run the Accrual process for the business unit of about 3000 employees.
2. Notice that not everyone has processed in accruals.
3. Review the logs files.
