Last updated on MARCH 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud Service - Version 11.12.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Trying to query Sales Order Entity to get the number of Sales Orders for a specific Account, but not able to accomplish that objective using the exposed services on Sales Order WSDL:
createSalesOrderHeader
deleteSalesOrderHeader
getDfltObjAttrHints
getEntityList
getSalesOrderHeader
getServiceLastUpdateTime
updateSalesOrderHeader

Tried to create a Relationship, but the object is not available to be related to Account.
Not been able to create triggers on the Sales Orders to update a field in the Account record, every time a Sales Order is created.

Please provide an alternative for this requirement?

Description
Requirement to show a message through a trigger, which shows the quantity of account’s orders. That information can be found in the subtab “Quotes and Orders” from the Account object.
( that subtab comes from Sales order object) . Need to use the function count, but Sales Order has not got a relationship with Account, and when want create that relationship, Sales order
does not appear in Target Object choice list.

How To Create Relationship between Account and Sales Order object?
