ERROR: "An Error Occurred While Processing Your Request. Please Try Again." When Displaying Schedule Log After Scheduling In Classic View

Symptoms

When trying to schedule in Java (Classic) view, an error screen displays. It is possible to schedule in Standard (HTML5) view. Turning off the scheduling report allows the scheduling to complete normally

An error occurred while processing your request. Please try again.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Access P6 Web
  2. Open a project in classic view
  3. Schedule the project - Ensure the "Display scheduling log upon completion" check box is selected.

  4. Click 'Schedule'.
  5. Wait a moment for the project to Schedule and for the pop-up window with the following error to appear.
  6. Yet, when this is done in the Standard View the log does not display but schedules successfully when the "display scheduling log upon completion" button is UNCHECKED or CHECKED.
  7. An additional error occurs which is related to the schedule log error
    1. When opening the schedule options for the project having this issue, changing any schedule option and clicking save the following error occurs:


BUSINESS IMPACT
Due to this issue, users cannot schedule in classic view without encountering an error when scheduling log is checked.
