Unable to process event for Critical illness

Client running the following progresses and getting error messages:

On Process Life Event page,

The number of selected plans is greater than the total allowed for the plan type configuration. (BEN-990271)
The total of enrolled plans 2 is greater then the maximum allowed 1 for the plan type Supplemental Employee LIfe Insurance. Select a number of plans that is less than or equal to limit.

On Process Open Enrollment page, getting error messages:

the potential life event Open is in manual status. Resolve the manual life event to either void or detected status, and then reprocess. (BEN-990361)
