[OCI-C LBaaS] Configuring Load Balancing Instances Across Identity Domains
(Doc ID 2404366.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Compute Cloud Service - Version N/A to N/AInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Use case is for OCI-Classic(a.k.a. OCI-C) Load Balancer.
The environment has 2 service instances, for example instance-1 and instance-2, with each instance corresponding to an IDCS identity domain.
Instance-1 has a load balancer pointing to the origin server 1.
Instance-2 has a load balancer pointing to the origin server 2.
Goal
The purpose of this use case is to provide a DR solution between the two load balancers' URLs which are part of the different service instances in two different Identity Domains.
With this setup, the load can be balanced between the two Identity Domains. However, is it mandatory for the Load Balancer that both the instances must be available in the same Identity Domain?
