Supply Order Not Created With Dummy Item Under ATO Model Structure (Doc ID 2404657.1)

Last updated on APRIL 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Order Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.17.11.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Business case:
- Customer is using ATO Model structure with a dummy item under that structure.
- The purpose of the dummy item is to only show dependent operation in the work order when
the dummy item is selected. The dummy item should not be shown in the work order
- The ATO Model item should go to a make flow.
- If the dummy item is selected in the order, then the dependent operation should appear
in the work order. Dummy item should not be part of the work order.
- If dummy item is not selected in the order, then dependent operation should not appear
in the work order.
- Customer does not want dummy item to have stock in the system.

How does the customer want the system to work?
- Since the main line is for the ATO model, customer intend to have the Supply order/
Work order created for the same.
- If dummy item was selected then the dependent operation should appear in the work
order but Dummy item should not be part of the work order
- If dummy item is not selected in the order, then dependent operation should not appear
in the work order
As customer does not want to have stock of the dummy item, the dummy item has been
given a 'Buy from' sourcing rule assignment and ATP rule assignment with 'Item and
Organization' as the type to pretend a fake purchase

Issue: If dummy item is selected and there is no stock for the dummy item, Back to Back supply
order number was not created
