Adding Products imported from PIM/CPQ to Product Group in Sales Catalog

After Products are imported into the Sales Products/Catalog from CPQ via PIM using the process "Import Sales Products from PIM data hub" it is still required to add these Products to a Product Group in order to be able to use them in Sales Opportunities.

Is it possible to automate the process of adding these Products to a Product Group? In our case there are a lot of Products (thousands of them) so to add them manually one by one to a Product Group is not a viable option. File Import into Product Groups is less manual but still a lot of work to extract the Products from CPQ, format them in a csv and import.
